If you’re anything like me, you love spending hours scrolling through Pinterest. And while there’s no shortage of inspirational quotes, recipes, and fashion tips to be found on the site, one of my favorite things to do is watch videos.
Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to download Pinterest videos onto your computer or phone… until now! In this guide, I’m going to show you a few different methods that you can use to save Pinterest videos so that you can watch them offline, or even share them with your friends.
So let’s get started!
Method 1: Use a Video Downloader Extension
The first method is probably the easiest way to download Pinterest videos. All you need is a browser extension that can save videos from websites.
There are a few different options out there, but I personally like Video DownloadHelper for Firefox or Chrome. Once you have the extension installed, just go to the Pinterest website and start playing a video.
You should see a small icon in the top-right corner of your browser window that looks like a little arrow; this is the download button for the extension. Just click it, and choose where you want to save the video file.
Method 2: Use a Screen Recording Tool
If you don’t want to install any additional software on your computer, you can also use a screen recording tool to capture Pinterest videos as they’re playing. This method will work on both PCs and Macs.
For PCs, I recommend using the free version of Apowersoft Free Screen Recorder. Just download and install the program, then launch it and click the “Video Recorder” button.
When the recording window appears, make sure that the “System Sound” option is turned on, then hit the “Record” button. Now just play your Pinterest video, and when you’re finished, hit the “Stop” button in the screen recorder program.
Your video will be saved as an MP4 file, which you can then watch offline or share with your friends.
For Macs, I recommend using QuickTime Player, which is a built-in program that comes with all versions of macOS. Just launch QuickTime Player, then click the “File” menu and choose “New Screen Recording”.
When the recording window appears, make sure that the “Show Mouse Clicks in Recording” option is turned on. Then hit the record button, and play your Pinterest video.
When you’re finished, hit the “Stop” button in QuickTime Player, and your video will be saved as an MOV file. You can then watch it offline or share it with your friends.
Method 3: Use a Video Converter Tool
If you want to download Pinterest video in HD quality (1080p), or if you want to convert it to another video format, you’ll need to use a video converter tool.
There are a few different options out there, but I recommend using Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate. Just download and install the program, then launch it and click the “Add Files” button.
Now go to the Pinterest website and find the video that you want to download. Right-click on the video, choose “Copy Video URL”, then paste the link into the converter tool.
Click the “Download” button, and your video will start downloading automatically. Once it’s finished, you can choose to convert it to another video format, or even extract the audio track as an MP3 file.
And that’s it! These are just a few different methods that you can use to download Pinterest videos so that you can watch them offline, or even share them with your friends.
